Eralia, it's perfectly okay that you hadn't seen Lord of the Rings yet. There are many just like you that haven't seen it either for one reason or another. The reason the fans of Lord of the Rings love recommending it is so we get to see someone else drawn into the story just like we were. In some ways, it's like reliving the experience through someone else. I will say that The Lord of the Rings is considered the father of the modern Fantasy Genre. There are so many things that were influenced by these books.

As you have undoubtedly diacovered by now..... you can can access the upgrade menu during fights, and can upgrade whatever you are working on mid-battle. If you fail/die you'll have to start at your orevipus level as you did going into the fight, but if you win, it also acts as a checkpoint and your upgrade will stand. Good to k ow for future games.

I fkn HATED this part (the conveyor belts and continuous harpy spawns) on God mode in this damn game. There are a few spots in this game that are very annoying. Not so much difficult, but annoying 100%! Edit: Incidentally, the Army of Hades helps out tremendously in that room with the conveyor belts and the harpies and archers.

Maybe this game finally woke her up from the ole military 'we are the good guys' brainwashing. Unfortunately so many Americans fall for it its so sad to witness everytime :(

51:37 Fuck this dialogue and the hack who wrote it. I didn't trust Cerberus, and I didn't want to work for them. The writer forced me to work for them for no good reason, and now in the next game they have the gall to berate me for doing something I had no say in. Not once in the many times this game berates me for working for Cerberus can I bring up the fact that it was the only course of action available, and every time it's the other guy who gets the last word in.

This tends to get overlooked although I consider it a major point: In fact, "We could've killed you" is the best response Nora could give. In this world, having the decency to only kill who you set out to kill and to spare those with whom you have no quarrel, is as rare as a cockroach on a wedding cake. So yes, it would've been easy to kill Ellie and Tommy, and actually the smartest thing to do. But they decided to be better than that. You can't just handwave that away.

watching the ranch scene from a player perspective, Ellie has lost Riley (her friend/love intrest), Sam (her friend) and Henry (her friend), she has been abandoned by Marlene (the woman who dumped her at FEDRAs orphanage) and I guess if you wanna push it she lost her mom but that barely counts because she didn't know her at all. Compare those people and their relationship with Ellie, it doesn't compare to losing your child, yes Ellie has lost people but nothing compared to losing your child, so Joel does have a point, compared to him, she has no idea what loss is.
